Meet the families from South America, who, this May will have an audience with the Pope in Vatican City. This single event will shine the largest light on Huntington’s disease in history. The journey begins here.
It started out like any other day for these families across South America. Then the red envelopes came, starting an unforgettable journey.
Huntington’s Disease (HD) is an incurable genetic brain disorder affecting nearly one million people globally. It is among the most common hereditary brain disorders, yet few people know about it and no cure exists.
It begins with personality changes and progresses to loss of body function, eventually robbing the person of the ability to talk, walk, swallow, think and reason.
Action is needed now to reverse the stigma and to improve the lives of people affected by HD.
